Shhhh!!! Niente Panico!

Ansia? Claustrofobia?

Anxiety? Claustrophobia? Do you feel trapped?....Don’t worry, everything is under control!

Mr Gareth Pugh, one of the leading exponents of the Gothic, in the FW 12/13 decided to give to his models more mystery (the first two from the left).
The necks raise hiding noses and mouths, in rigid fabrics and easily modelled leathers which allow any movement. So anything except a prison for your body…more or less.
A dark vision of the classic wool scarves (thinness 3), that dress up our necks during the winter.

Alexander Wang uses the same concept, but in a more extroverted way. In the FW 12/13 two of the five senses are covered by a large holes jersey net, from which are visible the facial features. Normally, put the turtleneck over your nose or lips, it’s the classis gesture made to seek warmth or when you are lost in thought. Well Alexander Wang returns this concept with much more style and for this he is passed with flying colors…A+…Good job!

Petra Metzger is present in the Central Saint Martin school fashion show (FW 12/13) with an oriental idea (Balenciaga-Hat-SS 12-revisited). To hide the woman’s face, normally, the most romantic people would think to the veil used during the belly dance…regarding me, well, I would propose a hyper technological burqa, with stylish and innovative materials.

Apart from anything the concept is always the same…power to the eyes and care to the word.

Enjoy.Teresa♥
